Our Team

Mark previously served as Executive Vice President at Nanometrics from March 2013 to March 2018. Prior to Nanometrics, Dr. Borowicz held various management positions in Marketing, Engineering, Business Development and R&D at KLA-Tencor Inc. from 2000 to 2013. Dr. Borowicz also has seven patents in the field of electron beam technologies.

Dr. Borowicz holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Auburn University.

Previously, Scott was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at AirXpanders, Inc, a publicly traded medical device company, where he oversaw manufacturing, quality, customer service, HR, finance and accounting. Prior to AirXpanders, he served at Nanometrics, a publicly traded semiconductor equipment and services company, as Vice President, Finance, and was responsible for accounting and finance. Prior to that he has held senior financial executive roles at a variety of publicly traded and venture backed companies, including ZOLL Medical Corporation, VNUS Medical Technologies, Atrenta, ePeople and Arthur Andersen LLP.

Scott received a B.S. degree in business administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and is a certified public accountant in the state of California.

Before joining Pure Wafer, Dr. Sidhwa was the Vice President of Manufacturing and Technology at GV Semiconductor. Dr. Sidhwa has worked as a Senior Director of Innovation and Technology (R&D) at Quantum Global Technologies (QGT). He was a Senior Staff/ Fellow at ATMEL Semiconductor responsible for Process Integration and Manufacturing Operations for state of the art Microcontrollers and Memory products. Dr. Sidhwa was also Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive Board Director at Armor Designs, Inc, a publicly-traded Armor company. Before Armor, Dr. Sidhwa worked as a Corporate Process Technology and Quality Director at STMicroelectronics, Inc. He is proficient in technology development for strategic alliances and multiple joint ventures. Dr. Sidhwa has 7 U.S. patents issued and two pending applications in multidisciplinary fields, along with over 100 publications.

Dr. Sidhwa holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Arkansas, Fayetteville Arkansas.

Rich has extensive experience in the silicon market starting with MEMC Electronic Materials in 1995 where he managed groups in crystal pulling and wafering, eventually moving into sales taking on an Account Manager role. From MEMC, Rich transitioned to Montco Silicon Technologies. He soon went on to form Merrimack Valley Semiconductor, acting as a manufacturer sales representative. In addition to the soon to be formed WRS Materials, Rich represented firms offering a variety of semiconductor products, including PVD systems, SOI wafers, packaging materials and prime silicon Epi. Rich transitioned to full-time sales support with WRS Materials prior to the Pure Wafer AZ facility purchase.

Rich is a graduate of Villanova University, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, and has an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Rich is also a military veteran, a Lieutenant in the submarine force, serving on multiple nuclear-powered weapons platforms.

Nir has nearly 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry working with some of the largest companies in our field (Intel, Samsung, Micron, Hynix, Toshiba, TSMC and more). He has developed and brought to market several products during his career with the most recent being at Nanometrics as the VP & GM of the Integrated Metrology Division. He has been an integral part of the executive team in the new formation of Onto Innovation as the Vice President of Strategic Alliances where, he was driving & building customer relationships for future revenue growth in the industry. Nir has been meeting and culturally developing relationships around the world in all of his roles.

Nir is a graduate of Bar-llan University at Tel Aviv in Physics; a Computer Science degree from Mercy College & an MBA from TUI University. Nir is also a military veteran in the Israel Army.
